Grammarly review - is it just hype?

Please tell me honestly, is grammarly worth it? Been seeing it pushed everywhere: ads, YouTube, even in my Gmail 😩. Decided to try it out during finals season to catch typos, but now I’m wondering if it’s actually worth the price. Like yeah, it helps with basic stuff, but does the premium version really go that hard? Curious what y’all think: have you used it long term, or just tried the free one and dipped?

If you want to find out what is grammarly, go read some Grammarly reviews. They are all over the place lol. Personally, it helped me clean up awkward sentences in my research paper 🧼📄. But I wouldn't call it life-changing, just saves time when you're brain-fried.

How much does Grammarly cost tho? I paid like $12/month with a student discount I found online. Honestly not bad, but I canceled after one semester. Good for papers, but not essential.

Grammarly pricing is wild without deals. If you don’t catch a discount, it’s def not worth it imo 😬. For casual stuff, the free version does the job just fine. Now, for the paid versions, here is what is currntly up on their site:

Y’all ever see Grammarly get cocky? It’ll correct a sentence like “the cat sat on the mat” and suggest something totally extra like “the feline positioned itself atop the rug” 💀💀💀 chill bro

I’ve been using it for two years straight. Definitely helps with flow and clarity when I’m rushing through a paper. I don’t even think about grammar anymore, it just fixes it 🤷‍♂️

Lowkey feel like we’re letting AI think for us at this point 🤖💤. Grammarly’s cool for typos, but if you rely on it 24/7, how are you even learning? Read a book once in a while, not just letting some app rewrite your brain.

Can we talk about how Grammarly is kinda making us dumb? 💀 No shade, but you mess up a sentence and just click whatever it suggests. No critical thinking. Back in the day we actually read stuff to get better, not just auto-fix everything 😐📚

Not gonna lie, Grammarly saved me when I was tired af and couldn’t focus 😵‍💫. But yeah, you still gotta double-check the suggestions. It’s helpful, just don’t turn your brain off.

Grammarly won’t save you from sounding like a bot. If you wanna actually improve your writing, open a novel, not just some app. People be out here writing essays like AI-generated scripts and wondering why profs mark them down 📉

I use Grammarly for rough drafts, then polish things myself. It catches the dumb stuff so I can focus on making my writing actually sound good. Just don’t copy-paste vibes lol
