Is QuillBot Premium worth it for college papers?

hey everyone! 👋 so i've got like 3 massive papers due this month and i'm lowkey freaking out 😬
been using the free version of quillbot to help reword my sources (cuz my professor is OBSESSED with catching plagiarism lol) but it has this super annoying character limit??
i keep seeing ads for the premium version but idk if it's worth dropping cash on 💸 checked out some quillbot reviews but they all seem kinda sus tbh
any of you actually paying for this thing? is it actually better or just the same tool with bigger limits? my roommate got called out last semester for turning in AI text and i'm not trying to fail this class 💀
if quillbot premium isn't worth it, what are you all using instead? need something that doesn't turn my papers into weird robot language 🤖 every time i try to paraphrase something complicated i end up with these frankenstein sentences that make zero sense lmao
help a desperate student out pls 🙏 my gpa can't take another hit this semester!!

i tried quillbot premium for a month and honestly... meh 😕 it's basically just the free version with higher limits and a few extra modes. the synonym slider is kinda cool but most of the paraphrasing still sounds weird and unnatural. not worth the money imo, especially on a student budget. the fluency isn't great on technical/academic stuff, which is when you actually need paraphrasing help the most 🙄

so i was using quillbot for a while but kept running into the same issues you mentioned. switched to studypro last semester and it's been wayyy better for academic stuff! their paraphrasing tool actually maintains the original meaning while making it sound natural. plus it's part of their whole platform so you get other features too - citation help, plagiarism checking, etc. definitely recommend checking out studypro.com if you're writing a lot of papers! 💯

omg THIS!! 🙌 i thought i was going crazy or just using it wrong or something. splurged on quillbot premium last month when i had those back-to-back sociology papers and was so disappointed. that synonym slider thing is such a trap - slide it too far and suddenly your paper sounds like it was written by an alien trying to sound human... the "formal" mode is a joke too, it just throws in fancy words randomly without understanding context. thanks for confirming i'm not the only one who thinks it's overrated!

honestly none of these AI rewriters are that great for academic writing... they're mostly designed for marketing content and blog posts, not research papers with technical language. i've tried like 5 different ones and always end up having to heavily edit whatever they spit out.

I tried both Quillbot premium (€8,33 per month, billed annually 🙄) and Study Pro last semester. Study Pro is leagues better! Killbot kept messing up my technical terms, but https://studypro.com/ actually understands academic language. It saved me hours on my research papers and doesn't have those annoying word limits Quillbot does, even in its premium version.
