Is Studocu legit? Unfiltered reviews needed!

Last week a classmate told me to check out Studocu because they upload lecture notes and past assignments there, and at first I was impressed by how much material people upload.

Then I started opening random files - some were polished lecture notes, but others…🤨 let’s just say they looked messy and outdated.
Now I’m skeptical. Is Studocu legit at all?

Before you tell me to do my homework and research online, get this: I dug into a few Studocu reviews online, and the contrast confused me even more. People post strikingly different opinions - some of those feel scripted even.

Has anyone here improved their grades using it, for real? Did the content feel trustworthy when you tried?

I tried it last semester simply cause I was desperate for a set of lecture slides I missed. Found them uploaded almost word for word 👀
but then I downloaded another file for a different class, and it was totally useless

I'll drop my honest studocu review here.

The site has potential if you're willing to dig, but don't expect consistency. I once got a 30-page summary that was so well organized it felt like a professional tutor made it. But the next time, I downloaded handwritten notes that were almost illegible.

So you might find a gem, but you've got to sort through a lot first. Has anyone figured out a reliable way to filter the good stuff?

what confuses me the most is the studocu price. they keep promoting a 'free plan' but when i tried downloading, it blocked half the files unless i paid or uploaded my own. that felt sneaky. i don't mind paying if it's clear upfront, but hiding the limits left a bad taste 😕

Studocu cost wasn’t terrible for me. I paid around $5 for one month and managed to download a ton of useful papers. But the quality wasn’t consistent, so I cancelled after. It’s decent if you just need short-term access, like for one subject or project. Anyone else do the same?

That's exactly what happened to me too! They advertise free access, but when you click download, it's like - surprise, upgrade needed.

Do you think it's still worth trying if you upload your own files in exchange, or does that take too much effort?

my main concern wasn't even the content. I kept wondering, is studocu safe to upload your own notes? like, could someone take your work and repost it elsewhere? I'm cool with downloading, but i hesitated to contribute my own stuff because of that
