I was asking myself the same thing - is MathGPT useful?

From the mathgpt reviews I checked, people mostly like it for calc and algebra because it shows steps instead of just throwing the answer at you. But there were also complaints that sometimes symbols get messed up or the app explains things in a weird way. One App Store review said it saved them during finals, but sometimes the notation looked broken and made the answer harder to follow.

So yeah, seems solid for checking work, but I definitely wouldn’t trust it blindly on something graded.

Honestly, mathgpt reviews are all over the place.

Some people swear by it, others say it fumbles basic stuff and the paid version feels overpriced. I saw one Reddit comment saying it’s great for learning on your own, but risky if you’re trying to rely on it for actual assignments. That sounds about right to me.

Good as backup, not something I’d bet my GPA on.

If someone asks what is MathGPT, I’d explain it like this: it’s basically a math-focused solver instead of a normal chatbot.

You throw in algebra, calc, stats, whatever, and it gives step-by-step work instead of random generic replies. It also has photo upload, which is nice because nobody wants to type out ugly equations from a worksheet.

So yeah, less “chat app,” more like a math tutor that doesn’t get tired of your dumb questions.
