Hey everyone!
I'm a full-time student and also train daily, so time is not on my side. I’ve been trying to eat cleaner and include more veggies in my meals — especially brussel sprouts (I heard they're great for muscle recovery and digestion).

Problem is:
I don't have the time (or energy) to scroll through a million blogs and videos just to find one decent brussel sprouts recipe. I need quick, easy, and preferably meal-preppable ideas that won’t take hours in the kitchen.

If you’ve got a go-to way of making brussel sprouts actually taste good (without deep frying them lol), I’d really appreciate it. Bonus points if it goes well with chicken, rice, or eggs.

Thanks in advance 🙌

Yo, I’m also a student-athlete (volleyball 💅🏐), and this smashed brussel sprouts recipe lowkey became my go-to between practice and writing 8-page papers I 100% left till the last minute 😅
Here’s my quick version:
🥦 Boil the little guys ~10 min till fork-tender
💥 Smash them like you’re spiking a ball after a bad group project
🧄 Olive oil drizzle, garlic powder, smoked paprika, sea salt — the essentials
🔥 Bake at 425°F (220°C) for like 20 mins till crispy and living their best golden life
🧀 Add parmesan if you’re feeling cheesy (and not lactose cursed lol)

Honestly, I make a whole tray and eat it while staring at my laptop pretending I’m working. Tastes elite, fuels me through late-night study grinds, and makes me feel slightly more put-together than I actually am 😂

I used to make a sauteed brussel sprouts recipe all the time, but lately I’ve been trying to cut back on oil and frying stuff.
Now I just steam them and toss with a bit of lemon juice, garlic powder, and some sunflower seeds on top — still super tasty and way lighter.
Also great for meal prep if you're trying to eat clean and not spend hours cooking!

So if you’re living that student-athlete life and need a quick boost, here’s a Brussel sprouts salad recipe that seriously slaps 💪🥗
What you need:
  • Raw brussels sprouts (shredded or just buy the pre-shredded pack — no shame)
  • 1 apple (chopped)
  • Handful of walnuts
  • Handful of dried cranberries
Dressing magic:
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Squeeze of lemon juice
  • Salt & pepper to taste
What to do:
Toss it all together, chill it in the fridge for 15–20 mins, and you’re good to go.
✅ Super fresh
✅ Keeps you full
✅ Won’t slow you down between workouts and lectures
Honestly, it’s become my go-to meal when I’m running around campus. Try it and thank me later 😎
